Practicalities

Our work can be face-to-face in therapy rooms in Huddersfield, large enough to allow for social distancing and regularly cleaned. We can also work online using Zoom.

Therapy can be short or longer term, depending on the needs and wishes of each person.

For our first meeting I offer a 30-minute telephone or zoom consultation without charge, when we can discuss your needs and establish whether I am the best person to help you at this time.

If you would like to go ahead, we will agree a series of meetings, typically 6 to start with, and usually on a regular day and time.

We can also work together long-term. I recognise that individual circumstances can mean that fortnightly appointments might be preferable. I can offer flexibility.

Counselling appointments are 50 minutes, for both face to face or online.

Fees are £50 per session.

Both talking therapy and mindfulness are not quick fixes but require time, reflection and practice.

Short term counselling can help you focus on specific issues, whether past or present. Generally longer term counselling enables deeper exploration.
